Tests
Why You Might Have Tests
Doctors might suggest tests to better understand what’s happening with your health.
It’s a way to find answers, rule out problems, and make sure you get the right care.
Getting your test results
If your test results show that you need more tests or treatment, we will contact you.
Once a doctor has reviewed your test results, you can view them:
- in your NHS account(through the NHS website or NHS App)
- in your Patient Access account
- phone us on 0191 4604 300 (Glenpark) or 0191 460 4239 (Teams) or visit us and we will tell you what the results are.
Questions about your results
If you want to talk to someone about your results, please send a request via eConsult..
If you cannot send a request online, you can call us on 0191 4604 300 (Glenpark) or 0191 460 4239 (Teams) or visit us
For tests done by the hospital, you will need to contact the specialist who arranged it. Even where we have taken the blood test in surgery, if it was at the request of the hospital, the result will go back to them.
